Replace your fuel dampers and pressure regulators in time for optimum performance and safety.
It often comes unexpectedly, but it happens: a defect in your fuel system. You can check this defect by removing and smelling the vacuum hose. If you smell or see fuel, the membrane is leak. Fuel dampers are often overlooked and the original specimens may still be mounted.
Due to aging and the use of incorrect fuel, such as E10 (which contains bioethanol), the membranes of the dampers can be damaged. In the event of a long standstill the material degrades and with reuse the membrane starts to tear. As a result, this results in increased fuel consumption, because the fuel leaks through the damaged membrane and the engine is sucked directly into the engine via the vacuum hose.
Availability per model:
-
S4: Two dampers and one pressure regulator
-
S3: Two dampers and one pressure regulator
What do the parts do?
-
Fuel dampers Made the pressure waves that arise when the injectors are operated simultaneously.
-
Pressure regulators Ensure that the fuel pressure in the injector pipe remains constant, for optimum operation of the engine.
We recommend replacing all three parts at the same time with a better functioning of your fuel system.
