The original housing of the tailgate lock can break on the mounting plate.
This part is no longer available new from Porsche.

We took on the challenge and completely redesigned it, and after many prototypes, created this very strong model made from plastic.

This allows you to transfer your own lock cylinder into this new housing.

Watch the video we made for you showing the disassembly and another video for the assembly. It’s not very difficult to do, but careful work is important.

We recommend renewing the spring and the white plastic lock at the same time.
