Porsche 928 aluminum radiator
This new aluminum radiator is suitable for the Porsche 928 from 1978 through 1986. The radiator fits the Porsche 928, 928 S, 928 S2, and 928 S3. The 5.0 32V versions from 1985 and 1986 are also included.
The radiator is suitable for both automatic and manual transmissions. It can be installed in a Porsche 928 with LHD or RHD.
The original radiator has plastic end tanks. Due to age, leakage can occur at the connection between the plastic and the aluminum core. This replacement radiator is fully made of aluminum and has no plastic end tanks.
The radiator is black powder-coated and replaces OEM number 92810604002.

The original fan tunnel and plastic air ducts can be mounted on this radiator without modifications.
The radiator is equipped with integrated oil coolers for engine oil and automatic transmission oil.
The required fittings that are part of the radiator are already installed. No separate fittings or additional connection materials are included.
This radiator is not suitable for the Porsche 928 S4, GT, or GTS. These models use a different radiator.

When should you replace the radiator?
An old Porsche 928 radiator can leak or cool less effectively due to age. Possible symptoms are:

Coolant leakage at the seams of the radiator

A rising engine temperature is not always caused solely by the radiator. Also check the thermostat, water pump, cooling fans, radiator hoses, and the operation of the entire cooling system.
Installation information
The radiator is mounted at the front of the Porsche 928. To replace it, the cooling system must be completely drained.
For models with an automatic transmission, the transmission oil cooler lines must also be disconnected. Prevent dirt from entering the oil cooler lines or connections.

Fill the system with the prescribed coolant after installation. Bleed the cooling system according to the correct workshop procedure. Then carefully check all coolant and oil connections for leaks.
Check the coolant level again after the engine is fully warmed up and then cooled down.
