Fuel Pressure Regulator 2.5 bar
If you experience the following problem, you may have a leaking fuel pressure regulator or leaking fuel pressure damper:
-Higher fuel consumption
-Irregular idling
-Fuel smell when opening the hood
More and more often, we see this part leaking. The internal diaphragm deteriorates, and then the engine draws fuel through the vacuum hose. You can easily check this yourself by pulling off the hose while the engine is running. If you see fuel flowing, the diaphragm is leaking.
If you have doubts, you can always stop by for a quick check. We can usually fix it for you right away.
The diaphragm fails due to age or incorrect fuel. Therefore, always use 98 octane or higher.
Finally, these pressure regulators are available again at a competitive price, delivered with a new o-ring. The original price is 430 euros.
Before ordering, also take a look at the pressure damper (which is the other unit on the fuel rail) and your fuel hoses.
