Slim pin diameter / length = 24 x 66.85 120 g
Slim pin diameter / length = 24 x 64.85 117 g
The Slim pin combined with our H-Beam connecting rod provides a total weight saving of 944 grams (for the 944).
No modifications are needed for use in the 944; the H-beam can directly replace the original connecting rod 1 to 1.
For use in the 928 engines, the H-beam connecting rod with Slim pin can also be applied and offers a weight saving of 1888 grams. However, the 928 crankshaft must then be rebalanced with so-called bob weights.
If you use new Wossner pistons, you do not need this pin. We have now discovered that they have made exactly the same dimensions and design, resulting in the same weight of 120 grams.
