This is a very complete kit to upgrade your Porsche 944 turbo to the level it was originally designed for.
For some reason, Porsche decided to tune the 944 not to be as fast as the 911.
But there is much more potential in that engine. The crankshaft, connecting rods, and gearbox are very strong and can easily handle much more power.
We have installed the kit shown here a few times, so we know its power.
Basically, the power upgrade comes from controlling the turbo pressure. The original cycling valve is replaced with modern technology, an electronically controlled boost regulator.
The injectors are upgraded for the higher power output and also provide smooth idling with better atomization.
The Tial wastegate is the best choice for this setup. The boost table is a very important part of the preprogrammed tune setup. The Tial offers better response and reacts as expected, unlike the original one. The result is better control of the boost level and smoother engine power.
With the Maxxecu, we were able to tune this for the best drivability, smooth idle, a great power curve, and fuel economy combined. The original ECU is not only very old and prone to problems but also incapable of achieving this high level of tuning.

The kit also contains our own developed trigger wheel kit, AFM delete pipe, and custom-made wiring harness.
The wiring loom connects to the original chassis wiring of the Porsche 944 turbo so all functions and fuse/relay diagrams remain original, allowing future diagnostics to be done with the original diagrams.
Why not use the engine wiring loom? Well, first, it is almost 40 years old, you need a few extras, and the least fun part is diagnosing a fault in the old wiring when building all new.

We recommend Cometic MLS head gasket
Good or better turbo; the Raptor turbo reached 350hp
3-inch downpipe is always better than the standard 2.5-inch
Upgraded clutch; we have a few options for you.
Stage 1 intercooler if you go higher.
Standard exhaust header will do in most cases.
And of course, a healthy engine: bores, bearings, pistons and piston rings, valves, and valve seats.
