Innovative 2-in-1 Camshaft Sprocket (with +2° and +4° Advance)
In addition to our popular fully adjustable camshaft sprocket, we introduce an innovative alternative. This newly developed camshaft sprocket offers a fixed advance of both 2 degrees and 4 degrees. By simply rotating the sprocket 180 degrees, you switch positions. A smart and cost-effective 2-in-1 design. And the price is even lower than a new original camshaft sprocket.
Why adjust the camshaft timing?
The crankshaft drives the camshaft via the timing belt. The standard factory timing is often not optimal. This is due to:

Cylinder head overhaul: Milling the cylinder head (often done once or twice) changes the distance and thus the timing.

Wear: The natural delay of hydraulic lifters affects valve opening.
By subtly shifting the keyway in this camshaft sprocket, you optimize the position of the camshaft relative to the sprocket. With this fine-tuning, the intake valves open slightly earlier. This results in immediate power gains.
Proven results on the dynamometer (Dyno)
Our test measurements show clear differences compared to the original setting:

+4 degrees setting: Provides the most torque up to about 5000 rpm. This results in a noticeable increase of 10 Nm compared to the original.

+2 degrees setting: Also offers a significant torque improvement up to 5000 rpm. Above this engine speed, the +2 degrees setting wins, delivering the highest peak power in horsepower.
Which setting do you choose?

For street use: The +4 degrees position is the best choice for extra low-end torque.

For the track (racing): The +2 degrees position is the best choice for maximum power at high revs.
The camshaft sprocket has the original markings on both sides. This keeps timing belt installation simple, regardless of which setting you choose.

Installation information

Installation time: Approximately 1 hour.

Procedure: When replacing the sprocket, the timing belt must be removed and retensioned.

Tip: This upgrade is ideally combined with periodic maintenance, such as replacing the timing belt.
