The ECU is the 'brain' of your engine. this is a small computer that handles fuel injection and ignition. Ageing components and years of heating solder points cause malfunctions. Some faults are simple but some are hard to find.
For the ECU of a 944 phase 1 (pre 1985), repair is not possible.
For the ECU of a 944 phase 2 (after 1985), repair is often possible, but then only the then occurring problem is fixed. However, this repair is quite expensive, approx. 450 euros.
Performance kit 8V, fitted in 2 hours, your Porsche drives COMPPLETELY different afterwards. No upgrade is as good and as simple.
