The ECU is the 'brain' of your engine. It is a small computer that controls the fuel injection and ignition. Due to aging components and years of heating of solder joints, faults occur. Some faults are simple but others are difficult to find.
Repair is not possible for the ECU of a 944 phase 1 (pre 1985).
Repair is often possible for the ECU of a 944 phase 2 (after 1985), but then only the problem that occurs at that time is fixed. This repair is costly, about 450 euros.
Do you want to keep driving a Porsche that occasionally stutters, has poor starting, struggles to get going, smells from the exhaust, and only runs well when the engine is fully warm? These old components have been used for 40 years. Too much fuel causes your engine to wear out faster. Time for a change!

Required:
- this new ECU
- a different MAF from 944 phase 2 or our MAF 1985 and later (phase 2)
- 3-pin idle control valve with different vacuum hoses
- 2 extra wires
- intake gaskets (because the intake must be removed)
