Contents of the set
- Tweeter set incl. mounting frame speaker and new grille 50W RMS / 150W peak
- Midrange set incl. mounting frame speaker and new grille 25W RMS / 125W peak
- Bass set incl. mounting frame speaker and new grille 45W RMS / 135W peak
You can reuse the current front mounting rings and frames for the grille as they will fit. If these are broken or missing, you can order new ones.
If there are more speakers on the rear panel, these can be removed by unplugging the connectors. The bass speaker is already a two-way speaker.
Sound Experience
The sound is truly a huge upgrade: spacious, wider tonal range, more bass, tight, and more volume possible without distortion.
The original speakers are made of cardboard cones and are unfortunately often torn.
It is possible to repair the cones, but the sound quality remains 1980s. Modern speakers have a wider frequency range and much less distortion at higher volumes. Classic driving is even more enjoyable with this.
Design
We have created a complete line of new speakers designed to fit into the interior of the 928. The speaker mounting frames have been newly designed for easy installation, and we have also updated the grilles.
Our previously designed mounting ring for the door speaker grilles and the cover on the rear speaker fit this new design.
Recessed
Installation is very simple, just remove the old speakers and put the new ones in. Everything fits directly onto the original screw holes.
Radio
You can simply connect this speaker set to your current radio, you may still have a well-working old radio.
A new radio is of course a personal choice, we have made it a bit easier for you by selecting a number of Blaupunkt Retro models that can be combined with this speaker set.

Pre-amp Out means that all your sound settings (equalizer and volume) are also passed on to the amplifier or subwoofer. The Pre-amp Out power on these radios is 4V, which keeps the sound clear. On cheaper radios, this is only 1.5V. The original amplifier in the 928 requires 4V and has an output power of 25W.
With Bluetooth you can connect to your phone for music and calls. 5.0 is of course much faster than 2.1
A separate microphone is important because you can mount it on the sun visor for better reception.
Voice assistant is very useful for call instructions or entering navigation
