In our workshop, we have often found that the injectors in the Porsche 944 differ in volume (flow rate) and sometimes remain stuck briefly during cold starts. This results in uneven running when the engine is cold and at idle. It also affects fuel consumption and engine wear.
That is why we looked for a modern, suitable injector. We chose Bosch EV6 injectors. With a few minor modifications, these proved suitable for installation in the 944 engine. We then tuned our engine with these injectors.

Suitable for:
All 944 8V 2.5-liter models from 1985/2, also known as Type 2. All 924S models with a 2.5-liter engine.
Requires minimum 98 RON / 93 AKI fuel.
The early ECU in the 944 (Type 1 up to 1985) is different and cannot be modified. However, there is a solution; contact us for information.
Tuned EPROMs for the 944 were already available. However, they were all adapted for low-octane fuel (92) and usually updated only for slightly better performance, and unfortunately based on the old injectors. We felt it was time for a European version of this EPROM. Because our cars have higher compression and we have access to 98-octane fuel, the output can also be higher and fuel consumption lower.
This kit is also suitable for the new ECUs from Focus 9 (F9T). We have already completed a conversion and delivered the car running perfectly, with more torque and power.
Option 1: DIY - send your ECU to us
- we test your ECU in our Porsche 944
- we make the necessary modifications to install the new EPROM
- we test it again
- we send it back, including the injectors and your old EPROM
- If you have the skills, you can easily replace the injectors yourself.
Make sure you know how to work with leaking fuel.
If not, a garage near you can replace the injectors.
- Readjust the CO; you will usually achieve 0.5 to 0.8 CO, much lower than the original 2.5%
Option 2: Drive By to Den Dolder
In approx. 3 hours, you will be 'ready to go' with your tuned 944.
We install the EPROM as described above.
We convert the injectors for you for an additional charge of 175 euros including VAT.
We adjust the engine to CO
Make sure your fuel tank is filled only with 98 octane or higher. If not, we can offer you a bottle of octane booster.
US 93 Octane AKI is equivalent to European 98 RON.
