The PSD (Porsche Sper Differential) system is made to activate the limited slip differential with a reaction time of a few millliseconds.
The system consists of a number of components that are unknown territory to many. This makes repairing it risky, and because the pump has a working pressure of 180 bar and a 60-bar pressure vessel, it is truly specialist work.
The PSD system is not activated much anymore because we often only drive on a nice summer day and don't get into skids. Maintenance is also sometimes forgotten as a result. As a result, the system gets contaminated and can get stuck. The pressure pump is always activated briefly when turning the ignition switch. However, the pump has only received a lick of grease during assembly and cannot be additionally lubricated.
Diagnose whether the PSD system is working:
Stand in a safe place with 1 rear wheel on the verge and the other wheel on the tarmac. Now pull up firmly and the wheel on the verge may start to slip. If the PSD system intervenes correctly, you can drive off without skidding. This is also a good way to keep the system working correctly.
Enough reason to give the system a good overhaul before it is really too late.
Check
The system is completely dismantled and repaired, built up and pressure tested and makes 250 cycles as a test.

Exchange system
You can choose our PSD exchange system, or send your own unit for overhaul.
Deposit for our PSD system is 1500 euros. This will be returned to you upon receipt of your system. Upon receipt, we check that it is complete and undamaged. We discuss any defects with you. The refund may be adjusted accordingly. Despite the sometimes poor condition of the system, we usually succeed in repairing it. If in doubt, we will overhaul your system immediately.
Option 1 (preferred)
You send your old PSD to us, we check it. If it is reusable, we will send you our refurbished MAF. No deposit required.
Option 2 (fastest)
You buy our reconditioned PSD and pay an extra 1500 euros as a deposit. We will send our PSD directly to you. Please choose DPD shipping.
After receiving your PSD, we will check if your PSD is still complete and reusable. If there is serious damage, we will contact you. 90% of all PSDs are revisable. If everything is in order, we will refund your deposit.
Option 3 (slowest)
You send your PSD to us. Then we revise your own PSD and send back your own PSD. Turnaround time 2 - 3 weeks
