Porsche 928 tailgate lock with alarm

The original housing of the tailgate lock can crack or break.
It is no longer available new from Porsche.

We took on the challenge and completely redesigned it, and after many prototypes, created this very strong model made of plastic reinforced with carbon.

This makes it possible to transfer your own lock cylinder into this new housing.

Watch the video we made for you showing the disassembly and another video for the assembly. It’s not very difficult to do, but careful work is important. The video is for the model without an alarm. The model with an alarm is a bit more difficult to assemble.

We recommend renewing the spring and the white plastic lock immediately.

We have redesigned both tailgate locks:

  • Model without alarm
  • Model with alarm

The difference can be seen from the outside by the width of the lock section.
