The motor for unlocking the tailgate can fail. We have analyzed what breaks, and it was this small gear.

We have been able to repair several units by replacing this gear or the pin. We designed and tested it with this gear.

Just open it up, it’s a wonderfully fine mechanism. Definitely a job for the kitchen table, as it contains many small parts.
