Sunroof Problem Solved
If your sunroof no longer opens or closes properly, this part may be broken.
In the first type 944 and also the 924, the arms of the sunroof are operated with push cables. In the gear box, 3 cables come together and turn on a gear.
Due to aging, the cover cracks and the cables no longer sit properly on the gear. This causes a creaking or clicking sound.
Remove the ceiling panel, the arms, the central gear box, everything must come off.
It is quite a bit of work; you will be lying on your back in the trunk for about 2 hours, which is the easiest way.
Make sure you know how to adjust the zero position properly.
