The original clutch release bearing for the 1977-1986 manual Porsche 928 is becoming increasingly difficult to obtain. This rebuild kit allows the existing clutch release bearing to be rebuilt without replacing the original bearing housing.

The kit consists of one new bearing with a new matching bushing. The old bearing is removed from the original housing. The new bearing and bushing are then installed.  This can easily be done with a workshop press or a good bench vise.

Important fitment information

This kit is intended exclusively for the 1977-1986 manual Porsche 928 with the original dual-plate clutch.

The product is not a complete new clutch release bearing including a new housing. The original Porsche clutch release bearing housing is reused.

The old bearing is removed from this housing. The new bearing and bushing are then installed.

The original housing can be reused. However, inspect it for damage or excessive wear during the rebuild.

From model year 1987, the Porsche 928 uses a different type of clutch and clutch release bearing. This rebuild kit is not suitable for these later models.
