Replace your fuel dampers and pressure regulators on time for optimal performance and safety.
It often comes unexpectedly, but it happens: a defect in your fuel system. You can check this defect by removing the vacuum hose and smelling it. If you smell or see fuel, the diaphragm is leaking. Fuel mufflers are often overlooked and may still have the original ones installed.
Aging and using the wrong fuel, such as E10 (which contains bioethanol), can damage muffler diaphragms. With long idle periods, the material degrades and when reused, the diaphragm will crack. This results in increased fuel consumption because the fuel leaks through the damaged diaphragm and is sucked directly into the engine through the vacuum hose.
Availability by model:
-
S4: Two dampers and one pressure regulator
-
S3: Two dampers and one pressure regulator
What do the parts do?
-
Fuel dampers Damp the pressure waves created when the injectors are operated simultaneously.
-
Pressure regulators keep the fuel pressure in the injector line constant for optimum engine operation.
We recommend replacing all three parts at the same time for better operation of your fuel system.
