How It Works
The LMM measures the air entering your engine, allowing the ECU to calculate the necessary fuel injection. Over time, wear can lead to inconsistent signals, causing engine inefficiencies and a rough driving experience. The MAF eliminates this issue by providing a more precise airflow measurement, ensuring that your engine runs smoothly and powerfully.
The second benefit is the airflow enters without the resistance of the original door with springload. This results in more torque in lower rpm range and enhanced throttle response.
Signs Your Engine Needs Attention
An aging engine may exhibit the following signs
