Difference between the early and later power steering pump models

This high-pressure hose is suitable for Porsche 928 models with the early type of power steering pump. From 1985, a different power steering pump model was installed. As a result, this hose does not fit the later version.

The difference can be easily checked visually from above the engine compartment:

• On the early power steering pump model, the filler hose from the reservoir to the pump is located at the front of the pump.
• On the later power steering pump model, the filler hose from the reservoir to the pump is located at the rear of the pump.
