Idle problem 928S3 (85-86) in ECU

The 5.0 liter 32V S3 model sometimes has a persistent problem with idle speed.

The engine then runs either a speed too high and a speed too low, after warmup of the engine, the speed sometimes drops so low that the engine almost stalls. 

The problem can be the step motor or as we have discovered the ECU.

The ECU controls the speed by managing the step motor for the idle rpm. We are increasingly seeing that a component is defective in the ECU.

We have been able to purchase these old components and now offer a repair service for this.
